Alexandra has 6 years of working experience after graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science. Since then she has continued to educate herself in circular fashion and sustainability reporting. She aims to apply her research background towards work that focuses on sustainability and circularity.
Alexandra’s objective is to create a more sustainable and circular fashion industry by educating people on the matter, applying research, and making recommendations on the supply chain of garment production. She is particularly interested in fashion journalism and hopes that her words will help those looking to be a part of the shift towards sustainability and circularity.
After traveling across the world and volunteering in vulnerable communities across Peru, Alexandra has gained a deep empathy for the environment and especially for those communities who dedicate their lives to preserving it. She believes that we can learn from Indigenous communities around the world and adopt their practices to help sustain a healthy environment. These culturally sustainable practices can be widely adopted through a genuine understanding of them and effective knowledge translation.
