Alex is Manager, Business Development for Cleantech at MaRS Discovery District, the largest urban innovation hub in North America. In this role, Alex supports corporate partners in executing on their strategic innovation priorities related to sustainability – helping them develop carbon reduction strategies and deploy emerging technologies and business models. In doing so, she leverages MaRS’ ecosystem of high-growth startups, private entities and public sector stakeholders. Having previously managed the portfolio of roughly 250 MaRS Cleantech startups, Alex has a deep understanding of convergent trends and disruptive technologies along with barriers to their deployment. She has long nurtured a love for fashion and is passionate about improving the sustainability of the apparel sector through innovation.
Alex holds a MSc in International Public Policy from University College London (UCL) and a BA (Honours) from McGill University.
