Anne has over 8 years of experience in sustainable fashion, ethical supply chain and social entrepreneurship. In 2010, Anne co-founded Local Buttons, an eco-friendly and ethical fashion line working with tailors in Port-au- Prince, Haiti to create up-cycled fashion for young professionals. Through Local Buttonsâ€™ four-year lifespan, Anne had the opportunity to set up an ethical factory space in Haiti, work with Cornell University on a fiber recycling initiative, and lead a class on sustainable fashion in Theory and Practice at Ryerson.
Anne returned to Ryerson in 2016 to manage the Social Ventures Zone to help grow the next generation of change makers and social innovators. In 2018, she moved on to Lucky Iron Fish as Partnerships Manager. Anne continues to work in the realm of sustainable fashion as the Toronto ambassador of EcoSessions and with her latest venture, theGood6ix, an online platform that allows consumers to search and discover fashionable, sustainable clothing.
Anne has a Diploma in Modern Dance, a BA in International Development and a MaSC in Environmental Applied Science. In her spare time, she spends her days hiking, drinking coffee & dancing.
