Jenny discovered her love for fashion and re-purposing at an early age when she began making her own doll clothes out of lace doilies and pillow shams found around the house! Fast forward to present time, Jenny earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ryerson University, and quickly immersed herself into the world of fashion by working with top names in the industry such as Calvin Klein and Izod menswear as a Marketing & Brand Manager.
With her comprehensive knowledge of popular merchandising and design practices Jenny has developed a vast portfolio of seasonal apparel lines and launches. Jenny feels one of the most enjoyable parts of her experience has been guiding team members from design inception to appropriate textile selection, to production methods, to delivery and presentation of garments to the retail floor.
Recently working with outdoor athleisure brands, Jenny travelled to international textile trade shows and became very keen to understand technical uses for recycled materials in the development of textiles. Intrigued by the science of textiles using things such as re-purposed ground coffee beans, coconut husks and plastic water bottles to create new technical fabrics, Jenny’s love for fashion and textiles has deepened along with her awareness of the effects of the apparel industry on our environment.
Jenny now runs her own marketing, sales and communication agency here in Toronto where she consults for a variety of brands and corporate clients on brand identity through apparel, design and visual presentation.
Jenny is a mother to 2 very inquisitive boys and an active volunteer within the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
