Kamil Ahmed


Kamil is a high achieving young professional dedicated to service of community and sustainability in action, living in Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada. With a BA in Global Studies and Social Entrepreneurship coupled with his lived experiences, Kamil seeks purpose informed by understanding. Committed to an ethical wardrobe and a plant-based diet, he strives to live the principles he preaches. He’s also a photographer, textile upcycler, amateur chef and professional shower singer. 

Currently, Kamil works in diversity, equity and inclusion supporting employers, support their employees. He is also one of the young people behind Community Fridge KW: a grassroots effort to establish and maintain public repositories of fresh donated food for anyone in the Kitchener-Waterloo community to take from for free. Upholding a two-fold mission of zero-waste and access to food, this initiative is the latest means through which Kamil serves his community and disrupts norms around consumption and possession.
