Lusa is an undergraduate student in the final semester of a degree in International Development with a minor in Feminist and Gender Studies. She strongly believes that the economic, gendered, environmental, and cultural effects of the fashion industry are becoming increasingly important. More so, in a world that grows closer through globalization and technological advancements every day, there is a need to pay attention to consumption habits in the West and the impact they have on industries in developing countries.
She is so excited to bring attention to these issues by being a part of the FTA Youth Ambassador Program! Lusa hopes her work can make people more attentive to where their clothes are coming from, who made them, and the welfare of those working in these trades. With experience in the private, NGO, and governmental sectors promoting the welfare of diminished groups as well as a personal passion for these causes, she is equipped to do so.
