Nancy is a high school student from Prince of Wales Secondary School. It was a video of a polar bear struggling onto the ice that reminded her of the urgency of confronting the climate crisis. At that point, she understood better than ever why her family kept recycling those plastic bottles and hard paper shells. She also took other steps to explore more about sustainability. From one of the conferences, she learned that textile waste was unexpectedly a major waste source; people buy 3 times more clothes than we did in the 80s. At the same time, Nancy feels passionate about fashion and appealing clothes as well. Therefore, becoming an FTA youth ambassador appears in her mind. She is looking forward to spreading the idea and finding any effective way of green fashion with others!
