Nicole is a new member of the FTA youth team and is excited to be contributing to our blog. As a geography student at Queen’s University, she cares deeply about environmental issues and is concerned by the current happenings in the fashion industry. She hopes sharing stories of progress toward a sustainable future will inspire others to be mindful of their consumption.
She also expresses her interest in fashion through sewing. Nicole is now designing a collection for the 26 years running, student-led, Vogue Charity Fashion Show. Many of her pieces are sewn from thrifted or scrap apparel highlighting the ample possibilities of upcycling clothing.
Nicole is currently writing from her student house in Kingston and is thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with the FTA team.
