My name is Robyn Moffat and I’m from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I’m currently working on my final two classes for my Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Business Management at Wilfrid Laurier University. I studied a range of topics in my degree from air quality engineering to human resources, and cartography to the global economy. It was in my degree that I came to learn about fast fashion.
Although I’ve learned of many global issues, I’m particularly drawn to fast fashion because of the responsibility I feel to correct my old, naïve consumption habits and help to bring awareness to those around me. Fast fashion went from being an issue I knew nothing about to an issue I couldn’t stop thinking about. I’m always looking for new ways to approach the issue and contribute to sustainable solutions; I’m excited to do so in collaboration with Fashion Takes Action in the Youth Ambassador Program.
