Youth Ambassadors
We’re looking for passionate Canadians to join our team and advocate for sustainable fashion as part of our youth ambassador program.
Program Overview
This year, FTA will be taking on 4 Canadian Youth Ambassadors between the ages of 18-25 for a three month period spanning June 1st and August 31st, 2023. The volunteer positions available are as follows:
- TikTok Youth Ambassador
- Blog Youth Ambassador
- Community Engagement Youth Ambassador (East Coast)
- Community Engagement Youth Ambassador (West Coast)
What We Offer
- Insider access to all FTA events, online or in-person, including webinars and employee/ education events.
- Access to the FTA Youth Ambassador Group, where you can connect with the FTA team and other YAs in a private LinkedIn group. We’ll add interesting information, podcasts, industry news, etc. to further your learning in this group as well.
- Profile on our website, in our newsletter, and on our social media.
- Opportunity to work with an awesome, close-knit team!
- Monthly meet-ups to connect with other Ambassadors, to hear what’s happening at FTA; to brainstorm around how we can collaborate to raise our profile and spread awareness
Expectations
TikTok YA
- Become a public figure for FTA
- Share ideas, trends, etc., for FTA to execute, and personally create a minimum of 2-3 TikToks per month
- Help build consistent platform engagement,
- Interest in and knowledge of the TikTok platform, trends, and growth opportunities.
Blog YA
- Submit ideas and write a minimum of 2 relevant blog posts per month,
- Create an ongoing bucket of content ideas to pull from,
- Have strong writing, research, and communication skills and understanding of the sustainable fashion landscape.
Community Engagement YAs
- Host 1-2 sustainable fashion community events per year. These can include virtual or in-person events (i.e. clothing swap, mending workshop, panel discussions, networking events, learning opportunities, etc.),
- Sharing FTA and/or MCMW content on personal platform (min twice/month),
- Have a social personality and an interest in engaging communities across platforms.
All YAs
- Have an interest circularity, ethics, and sustainable fashion,
- Have an eagerness to learn and grow the FTA brand and mission.
