Odessa Paloma Parker is a fashion, culture and design-focused journalist/editor/stylist based in Toronto. In late 2019 she joined FASHION Magazine in the newly created role of Fashion News Director, attracted by its mandate of providing a platform that champions the idea of “Fashion for All”. She stayed in the role until the summer of 2021, when she left to pursue freelance and educational opportunities. 

Previous to being on the masthead at FASHION, Odessa was the Head of Content for a trio of cannabis brands in the year leading up to its recreational legalization in Canada, and she was the Fashion Editor for The Globe and Mail from 2014-2017. Odessa was also the Co-founder/Editorial Director of the locally-focused online and print publication Plaid Magazine, and she remains the Event Director of Vintage Crawl Toronto, which she co-founded in 2012.

 Odessa’s expertise in the areas of fashion journalism and marketing have culminated in her being part of an e-panel for curating London Fashion Week, and previous nomination committee duties for the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards. She has co-chaired events for the Gardiner Museum and the Canadian Opera Company, and she is currently a mentor for the Inclusive Stylist program.
