Drummond Lawson

Strategy Director

Drummond Lawson has led sustainability programs within high growth brands for over 15 years. An environmental chemist by background, he has a depth of expertise in low-impact product design, business model innovation, and strategy development, combined with a passion for culture, organizational change and purposeful work. 

Drummond works for Anthesis Group as a strategy director, leading the development of sustainability strategies that drive innovation and commercial value. Previously Drummond launched and directed the sustainability program for Arc’teryx Equipment in Vancouver BC, subsequently leading strategy implementation as Chief of Staff. Prior to that he served as the sustainability director for Method Products in San Francisco, one of the founding B-Corps. In his career he has led transformational projects including the introduction of science-based climate targets, initiating circular economy business models, and foundational work to make impact-oriented culture into a driver of innovation and talent engagement. 

Drummond is a fellow of the Aspen Institute’s First Mover’s fellowship. He has an undergraduate degree in environmental sciences from the University of Calgary and master’s degrees in environmental chemistry and sustainability, respectively, from the Universite de Savoie and Cambridge University.
