ReMode

05.2024

ReMode is where you come to learn how to keep your clothes in use for as long as possible through the 7R’s of Fashion.

The Marketplace shines the light on the #nonewclothes movement, with vendors focused on reuse, resale, repurposing, rental and repair.

The Swap is where you come to trade your unwanted clothes with others (begins at 12PM).

The Talks feature industry experts and influencers throughout the day to help you learn more about how to reduce your fashion footprint through what you buy and how you care for your clothes.

Vendor MARKETPLACE

In 2023 we hosted 30+ vendors in the ReMode: Marketplace, featuring an array of businesses focused on reuse, resale, repurposing, rental and repair. In addition to our 2024 vendors, we’re excited to have agencies involved in the City of Toronto’s Community Reduce and Reuse Program, on site to provide repairs including hemming, sewing buttons, and mending seams!

This service will be ‘Pay What You Can’ and provided on a first come, first served basis.

CLOTHING SWAP

The most sustainable piece of clothing is the one already in your closet…or in someone else’s. We wear 20% of the clothes we own, 80% of the time. So if there are items that you know you won’t wear, or that don’t fit anymore, a clothing swap is the perfect way to share them with someone else, and find new pieces for yourself.

Clothing SWAP begins at 12PM.

We swapped 1,200 items of clothing at ReMode 2023. This resulted in 600 kg of diverted textiles from landfills, and 1,600 kg of co2 saved.

How a clothing swap works

1) DROP OFF
Doing a Spring closet clean out? If you have clothes that are in good (used) condition, but just no longer match your style (or size), consider participating in our clothing swap! You can drop off up to 10 pieces.

**Stay tuned for info on advance drop off. If you are unable to make it in advance, you can bring your pieces with you on event day.

2) COLLECT A TICKET
For every piece we accept into the swap you will receive a ticket to ‘shop the swap’ – put 5 pieces in, get 5 new-to-you pieces out!

3) GO SHOPPING
Now, it’s the fun part. Explore the racks of items at ReMode and use your tickets to add some great new finds to your spring wardrobe!

It really is as easy as that.

Early SWAP Drop-Offs:

• Wednesday, May 1st from 5:30 – 7:30PM at Stackt Market

• Thursday, May 2nd from 5:30 – 7:30PM at Stackt Market

* We will not be accepting undergarments, jewellery, or cultural/traditional pieces.
