Maëlys is supporting the development of communication, partnerships and knowledge management activities for the tourism and textiles team based within the Consumption and Production Unit of the UNEP office in Paris. She is helping with the implementation of low carbon and resource efficiency measures for the tourism sector. She has been leading a campaign to Phase-Out Single Use Plastics items with the Philippines government (Departments of Tourism) and is in charge of the capacity building events and trainings of the Transforming Tourism project. She is also supporting UNEP work on advancing circularity in the textile value chain. Maëlys holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a joint Master’s Degree in Political and Institutional Communication from Sciences Po Grenoble and Grenoble-Alpes University.
