Eric is the co-founder of TAMGA Designs, a sustainable women’s clothing label based in Toronto, Canada. Founded in 2016, TAMGA uses the world’s most progressive and sustainable materials in an entirely transparent supply that Eric and his wife have built over the course of several years.
Eric’s previous life was spent working for the United Nations in New York City and Bangladesh. Working with governments, communities, NGOs and business leaders gave Eric experience in how change is created, and further cemented his passion for working across cultures. While in Bangladesh, Eric represented UNDP on a public-private working group relating to the implementation of the garment safety measures following the Rana Plaza factory collapse. Ending up as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry was never the intention, however the experience of working in Dhaka showed him how truly problematic (and promising!) the industry is.
Since launching through a successful Kickstarter campaign, TAMGA has built a community of conscious customers in more than 30 countries, and is carried in retailers across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand including Holt Renfrew’s H Project.
