The UN Office for Partnerships (UNOP) is the gateway to the United Nations system, connecting and co-creating partnerships to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals. In its role as a connector, UNOP engages, convenes and leverages stakeholders, initiatives and solutions in support of the Decade of Action to deliver the SDGs by 2030. Solmy serves as the Associate of the Secretary-General’s SDG Advocates, 17 prominent individuals appointed by the Secretary-General to use their global platforms towards advancing the SDGs. She also supports special partnership initiatives and global communications. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French Literary Studies (Lettres Modernes Appliquées) from Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and a Master’s Degree in Music and Peacebuilding from Gallatin School of Individualized Study, New York University. Prior to joining the UN, Solmy worked in television broadcasting, event management, and luxury fashion brand management in South Korea.
