As the former Program Director for Fashion Takes Action, Laura brings her extensive expertise in educational programming, sustainability advocacy, and climate justice to her role as a board member. Extremely passionate about sustainable fashion, Laura has dedicated her career to making a positive impact on both people and the planet.
With a Master’s Degree from the University of Toronto, she has a strong educational background that complements her work. Laura has extensive experience as a teacher within the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Outdoor Education Schools, and the Durham District School Board. Her teaching roles have allowed her to inspire young minds about the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainable living. In addition to her work in education, Laura owns her own upcycled and vintage clothing business, where she practices and promotes sustainable fashion principles. Laura is driven by a commitment to climate and social justice and is dedicated to empowering others and helping individuals understand the significant impact that fashion choices can have on the environment.
