Who Makes our Clothes?

Students learn about the people who make our clothes and how fashion impacts the lives of garment workers.

The fashion industry is plagued with human rights violations – from unfair wages to dangerous working conditions. Our friends at Fashion Revolution have done a great job of raising awareness for the people who make our clothes with their annual campaign #WhoMadeMyClothes, and we felt this was such an important topic to be discussing with young people. In this one-hour live virtual workshop, students will not only learn where our clothes are made, but they will come to understand gender based violence and discriminations in the fashion industry, a lack of freedom of association, living wage as well as modern day slavery.
