Sonny is FTA’s Board Treasurer and heads up the Finance committee.

She is a corporate consultant serving in CFO-assist roles for a variety of public and private enterprises as well as not-for-profit organizations.  Sonny is an accomplished accountant with strategic expertise and has helped many businesses through finance transformation projects.  

Sonny has a strong passion in the area of sustainability.  She owns a formalwear rental company called MeeraMeera Rental Studios Inc where clients are encouraged to make a conscious decision to consume less without sacrificing personal style and to reduce textile waste in this world of fast fashion.  

Sonny is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
